Welcome to the Comptroller of Maryland's Internet tax filing system. This system allows online electronic filing of resident personal income tax returns along with the most commonly associated schedules and forms.
Important Notice:

Opening of the 2021 Tax Filing Season

Maryland is supporting Tax Years 2021, 2020, and 2019.

When reviewing your return after submission, if you experience an issue with the PDF option, please choose the Text document instead.

What you will need to get started:
  • A completed federal return. You will need information from your federal return in order to complete your Maryland return. If you wish to electronically file your federal income tax return, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has entered into agreements with several private companies to provide free electronic filing of federal returns. Some of the companies are including State returns as well. Visit the IRS Free File web page to see if you qualify.
